For customers with an active maintenance contract in an emergency we respond within 24hrs of the fault being reported (weekdays).

For customers with an active maintenance contract, yes, as they take priority over those without a contract (weekdays).

What Branded Products Do You Work With?

We are Worcester Bosch Accredited installers and work with most branded boilers.

How Often Are Jobs Completed In First Visit?

On average, we complete around 85% of jobs on the first visit.

We regularly work with Local Housing Association for boiler servicing and plumbing related works.

What times do you usually offer? (hourly slots/AM or PM/ 8-12 1-5 etc?)

We offer both morning and afternoon appointments, please let us know which would be best for you.

How much notice do you need when accepting appointments?

Ideally, we would require 2 weeks notice (10 working days).

How much do gas safety checks start from?

£140.00 to include the boiler service and the landlords' safety check.

Do landlords receive a certificate on the day of the check, or do you send it at a later date?

An electronic copy of the certification is given on the day of the check.

What is the difference between direct and indirect cylinders?

Direct = Heated by the boiler.
Indirect = Heated by an immersion.

Any property specs that need meeting to be able to have different types of cylinders?

Direct cylinders are usually fitted where economy 7 or electric heating is installed.

Do you supply and install cylinders, or just one or the other?

We supply and fit both mains fed direct and indirect cylinders.

Do you install any branded water systems?

We work closely with Stuart Turner for pumped systems and mains boost.

Do you offer any guarantees?

We offer a 3-year guarantee on workmanship and manufacturers guarantees on all items fitted.

Yes - Our comprehensive bathroom installation service includes the full array of products.

How long have you been installing bathrooms?

We have more than 5 years of experience when it comes to bathroom installations.

Can you fit wet rooms/mobility products?

Yes, in addition to showers, we also install wet rooms and mobility products.

Do you offer bespoke bathroom designs?

Yes, we offer bespoke bathroom designs tailored to your requirements, floor space, budget etc.

Does Your Team Sit With Customers To Discuss Ideal Bathroom Requirements?

Yes - We will discuss all of the requirements for your bathroom before putting together a quote.

Is The Design Included In The Quote or Is This A Separate Cost?

Yes - The design is included in the quote.

What is your average turnaround time from initial consultation to completion of fit?

This will depend on the extent of the individual installation and customers are advised of lead times at the initial stage. From estimate acceptance to installation average 3 weeks depending on work schedules.

Do you offer luxury products along with standard shower/baths, such as jacuzzi baths etc?

Yes, we offer an array of luxury products, this also includes power showers.

Fully Inclusive Installation Service? (Incl. Carpentry, Tiling, Plastering & Electrical Work, If Necessary?)

Yes - Our experts are fully trained to cover every aspect of the boiler installation.

What Does The Boiler Installation Include? (Thermostats/Radiators etc.)

As standard, the boiler installation would include a thermostat. We would quote for the requirements on an individual basis and can include items that are part of the heating system e.g. radiators.

Do You Offer The Installation of Smart Central Heating Controls?

Yes - This can be quoted accordingly, please call our team today for more information.

Difference Between LPG, Gas & Oil Boiler Installations?

Gas and LPG have stricter regulations (which are monitored) and as a consequence take slightly longer to install. LPG gas and tanks for oil boilers have to be situated appropriately. We can offer advice on this or alternatively, contact the local governing body.

Which Type Of Boiler Is The Cheapest To Run?

Gas boilers are generally the cheapest to run.

Which Boiler Type Is The Cheapest To Install?

In addition to being the cheapest to run, gas boilers also tend to be the cheapest to install.

Do You Offer Any Boiler Installation Warranties?

New Worcester Bosch boilers are supplied with a minimum 7-year warranty. Speak to our friendly team for more information.

Do You Offer a Free Initial Consultation to Ensure The Boiler Is Suitable For The Property?

Of course - We can't perform a boiler installation without it.

How Long Does The Installation Tend To Take?

A full boiler installation tends to take between 2-3 working days to complete.

Is The Service Available On All Boiler Types/Brands?

We service the majority of main boiler brands, please call us to discuss whether your boiler is eligible.

What Are The Most Common Advisories You Give To Customers? (Carbon Monoxide Detectors, Having Cupboards Around Their Boiler etc.)

It is advisable to have a C02 alarm fitted on any gas appliance and is mandatory for open fires and log burning fires and England.

What Price Does The Boiler Service Start From?

Our boiler servicing starts from £100.00 ex VAT and Parts.

How Long Does A Service Take?

Our comprehensive boiler service generally takes between 1.5 - 2 hours.

Does The Service Include Any Repairs, If Necessary?

We will endeavour to repair any faults during the service however repairs over the 1.5 hours allocated to the service will be chargeable per hour. Rates on application. Should we need additional parts we will have to return (chargeable).

What Does The Maintenance Plan Include?

This includes one boiler service per year.

Gas Boilers: One free call out.

Oil Boilers: Two free call outs.

Callouts are available during weekday office hours and it covers boiler, heating or general plumbing related issues.

Please note that maintenance contracts are offered depending on the age and condition of the boiler.

Do You Work With Any Brands Other Than Worcester Bosch?

We also work with key brands such as Vailant, Grant and many more.

On Average, How Long Do Boiler Repairs Take?

It typically takes between 1 to 4 hours to repair a boiler, depending on the fault.

Do You Offer Guarantees?

Only on Worcester Bosch boilers supplied and installed by us. We offer OFTEC workmanship warranties on oil boilers. (OFTEC – The trade association for the oil heating industry in the UK and Ireland).

Do solar thermal collectors - systems work in winter with no Sunlight or a cloudy day?

Yes: Solar collectors work on daylight as well as sunlight with Solar systems providing energy/ hot water during cloudy or overcast days, but would require a back up from another energy source such as a gas/oil boiler, immersions or another renewable energy source.

Would Solar panels work with my existing hot water system?

To get the best efficiency and make use of the solar gain created form the solar collectors in most cases a dedicated solar or new cylinder is required. But this is an ideal opportunity to overview your hot water system, and look at an unvented hot water system – (see hot water page).

What is the payback period?

This is often talked about, and sometimes difficult to equate, given the installation cost, rebates – incentives and efficiency of the system based on the panels orientation and the fuel type that has been replaced oil, gas etc. Typically this period could be from 6 – 15 years. A better way to look at things would be as an investment compared to say putting that money into shares or a bank, considered a riskier move by some, given that solar energy is free and will here for a long, long time.

What is the life expectancy of a solar collector systems?

5 year warranty on all our system with a life expectancy of 20 years +.

What about maintenance?

Generally our systems require minimal maintenance and when we annually service your heating equipment we can look at the solar system and its efficiency often avoiding any potential issues that may arise.
